The mission of CSA is to develop physically and mentally great athletes and enhance the communities in which we operate through soccer. The vision of the CSA is to prepare players how to play soccer both technically and tactically, in a safe and constructive environment while participating against the best competition in Connecticut through premier league competition and outside of Connecticut through tournaments and friendlies. Candlewood Soccer Academy's mission is also to prepare players to be successful scholar-athletes in high school and college through education on lifestyle choices and the college recruiting process. CSA will be recognized as a community leader for player participation in club sponsored youth development programs. Here at Weston Pro Soccer our coaches use a Guided-Discovery coaching style which leads the player to make their own decisions on the soccer field. By passing this trust onto the player they are more likely to grow in confidence, think for themselves and most importantly learn what you are asking them to achieve. Soccer is a game of the moment and players not coaches need to decide at that moment what they should do on the field, we need to help them to make that decision for themselves. Our ultimate aim is to support individuals and teams in pushing the boundaries of their personal development, whatever their level may be, enabling them to achieve a higher level of enjoyment and understanding of the game. |
